Amalgam Shards

With the mass quantities of ore being mined and purified, the Imperial Guild has been finding aberrations in raw Eonite being refined at Pylon. After some strange behaviors were observed in workers who handled the raw forms of these amalgamated deposits Imperial Guild scientists began processing them separately and subsequently discovered each possesses unique properties. They gave each amalgamation a name: Spear, Temple, Riot, and Phantom.
Phantom
Phantom is the most uncommon of the amalgam shards. Individuals exposed to its potent influence for extended periods are increasingly withdrawn and elusive, begin to think in a frighteningly nuanced strategic manner, and have reported premonitions that are shockingly accurate. Supposedly there are reports of one early scientist, working solely with Phantom Shards, having “phased”.
Riot
The most uncommon shard beside Phantom, and perhaps most dangerous of all. Riot shard exposure is 200 proof steroids. Aggression is increased dramatically, power of motion is accentuated, but unlike the Temple shards, there is a high degree of uncertainty and difficulty in controlling the outcome. When directed and given no other outlet, for example when given to early Imperial Guild miners, their ability to move through rock was unsurpassed.
Temple
Temple shards, not as rare as Riot, are still difficult to come across, but have an entirely different set of effects on handlers. Extended exposure has been likened to being injected with liquid iron. The body becomes stronger, more resistant to pain and damage. The mental changes are almost as fascinating: a very powerful urge to protect others, most especially the less powerful, and to enact swift justice in the face of wrong doing. A combination of Spear and Temple exposure has been assumed for high order Nocturne warriors.
Spear
Spear are the most common of the shards. The energy they emit has more ameliorative consequences. Namely, lengthy exposure causes subjects to have a high degree of focus. As a result their speed, both mentally and physically is dramatically increased. They process vast quantities of data extremely rapidly and move through spaces and activities at rates never seen.
