Colonists

Colonists

These denizens occupy outlying planets and are the risk takers of galaxy. Having heard the call of the Imperial Guild, they abandoned their homes and bolted through space to acquire a mining claim on Pytheas. Pure grit and determination, self-reliant to a fault, everything is against them. The Imperial Guild rules over their claims, Ai-Lax Pirates raid their shipments, and the environment is ruthlessly hostile to life. Nevertheless they persevere. They manage to survive in the desolate landscape by spending the vast majority of their time underground in the Eonite mines or in their hodgepodge structures.

The more politically and strategically minded Colonists regularly circulate the idea of forming a military force in opposition to the Pirates, and in hushed back rooms the formation of a controlling, unifying force to oppose Guild rule has been whispered. No event or leader has emerged to galvanize such a massive undertaking.

In the beginning, Colonists mine rEON—a raw, unprocessed form of Eonite deposits. The workers are represented by their unique generated NFTs. These will serve to form the initial basic utility of the game and will be required throughout to participate in most mechanics.

Mint — Acquired at a 100% likelihood for Gen 0 these Colonists are the genesis of the game. Further generations will be subject to a staked Ai-Lax Pirate kidnapping them at a 10% rate.

Stake — Colonists acquire 2,700 rEON worth of Eonite deposits per day (24 hours) in the mines of Pytheas.

Claim — Protected only on the planet surface by the Guild armies, Colonists are required to transport their collected Eonite to orbiting cargo ships. However Ai-Lax Pirates have an Orbital Blockade in place and require a 20% tax for safe passage.

Unstake — Some Colonists have been known to risk fleeing their claims with their accumulated EON wealth. The Imperial Guild has dictated that claims must be mined for a minimum of 2 days prior to renunciation. Pirates despise the loss of tax and will attempt to catch Colonist ships in transit. If successful (50% chance), the Colonists vessel will be robbed of all their rEON. Take care.

Defect — Colonists have been known to become disenchanted with eking out a living on Pytheas. Occasionally, when they run into an Ai-Lax Pirate Ship the Pirates will offer them a place among their dastardly ranks. Should a Colonist choose to accept, they are required to offer a tribute of their rEON as entry into the shared pool of spoils collection, including all ties they once had to their old status (burns Colonist).
